SHAMMAH COMPREHENSIVE COLLEGE AT ITS 6TH END-OF-SESSION PROGRAMME FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS

On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, Shammah Comprehensive College, located in Ikoyi, Osun State, Nigeria, marked a significant milestone as it held its 6th End of the Session Programme.

This event brought together students, staff, parents, and well-wishers to celebrate academic progress, moral development, and the school’s unyielding commitment to educational excellence.

Established with a clear vision to raise a generation of disciplined, intellectually sound, and morally upright young leaders, Shammah Comprehensive College has grown into one of the most prestigious private schools in Osun State.

Strategically situated beside Olokuta Sawmill in Ikoyi, the school offers a serene, distraction-free learning environment that is essential for proper academic development.

The institution is government-approved and has the capacity to accommodate over 1,000 students. It is equipped with modern infrastructure and tools that support effective teaching and learning. Among its numerous facilities are:

The Founders

The founders of the school, Mrs. Alabi D.O and Ven. O.A Alabi, have consistently emphasized the importance of quality education rooted in discipline, godliness, and purposeful leadership. Their message during the event was:

'At Shammah Comprehensive College, our mission is to raise godly, intelligent, and morally upright children who will become future leaders. We believe in academic excellence, discipline, and purposeful training to build a brighter generation.'

The event began with an opening prayer led by Mrs. Fakunle Sefiyyat, setting a tone of gratitude and reflection.

This was followed by heartfelt commendations from the invited chairpersons, including Mrs. Akinyẹle, Mrs. Owolabi, Mrs. Adegbite, Mrs. Toromade, Mrs. Babatunde, and Mrs. Shittu.

They praised the school’s dedication to raising responsible leaders and reaffirmed their belief in the institution’s continued success.

Highlights of the session included captivating student presentations such as a well-structured debate, a scripted school news report, cultural dances that showcased Nigeria’s rich heritage, theatrical dramas, eloquent speeches, and various academic displays that revealed the depth of the students’ training and creativity.

These activities not only entertained the audience but also served as a testimony to the quality of education the students receive.
