Olayinka International College Marks Its 11th End-of-Session Celebration
On August 14 2025, the usually calm premises of Olayinka International College, located in the Ayope area of Apomu, Osun State, were filled with excitement and celebration as the school held its 11th End-of-Session Programme.
The event was a memorable occasion that brought together students, parents, staff members, and invited guests to mark another successful academic year.
The programme commenced with an opening prayer led by Shehu Tijani Anigilaje, accompanied by his clerical members. In his brief but impactful address, Shehu Tijani urged parents to provide unwavering financial and moral support to their children, emphasizing that quality education requires commitment from both the school and the home.
He also encouraged students to respect and obey both their parents and teachers, noting that a child’s blessings are often tied to obedience and good character. His words set a tone of moral reflection and responsibility for the rest of the programme.
The day’s event was chaired by an array of distinguished women who have contributed in various capacities to education and community development.
These included Mrs. Akande, Mrs. Holy Ghost Oluwafemi, Mrs. Sheriff, Mrs. Oladiti, Mrs. Akinola, Mrs. Ogunleye, Mrs. Akinlade, Mrs. Job, and Mrs. Olalekan, among others. Their presence added dignity to the celebration and reflected the strong community ties that the school has built over the years.
In his speech, Mr. Lawal, the proprietor of the school, spoke passionately about the role of parents in their children’s education. He lamented that some parents neglect their responsibility to provide the necessary academic support for their wards, which often hinders the children’s potential.
He urged parents to change this attitude, reminding them that their children are their greatest investments and future rewards. He stressed that education is not solely the responsibility of the school; it is a partnership that requires active participation from parents as well.
Olayinka International College has built a strong reputation as one of the leading private schools in Osun State. The institution operates across three main locations to cater to various educational needs.
The secondary school is located at Awotedo area, Apomu; the creche, kindergarten, nursery, and primary school sections are situated at Ayope area; while the combined full academic complex, which houses all sections, is located at Elegbaata area, Apomu.
The school offers well-structured academic departments in Science, Arts, and Commercial studies. Each department is equipped with modern teaching facilities, laboratories, and exhibition tools designed to enhance learning and practical knowledge.
